My story
My story is one of survival — and return.
A few major traumas shaped my life, and for years I did what most of us do: I pushed through. Day after day, smile after smile, I kept going even when my body was begging for rest. Survival became my way of living.
But survival is not the whole story.

About 16 years ago, on a camp, an elderly woman I had never met looked at me and spoke a word that stayed buried in my heart:
“You are like someone who can tune pianos. You can sense when someone or something is not in tune and bring it back into harmony. But first, you need to learn to play again.”
For a long time, I didn’t know how. I carried trauma, anxiety, inflammation, exhaustion. I knew the science. I knew the words. But I hadn’t yet returned to the music of my own soul.
And then — slowly, gently — I began to play again.
One breath. One pause. One step out of pushing and into presence.
One choice to trust that my nervous system could heal.
One opening to God’s design of wholeness, safety, and flow.
Life began to change. Not instantly, but steadily. The spark returned. Flow returned. Creativity and joy returned.
This is what The Return was born from — not theory, but a lived journey.

With more than 24 years as an Occupational Therapist, my work has been shaped not only by my own return, but also by walking alongside hundreds of others. From hospital wards to group-therapy rooms, from program development to one-on-one care, I have carried a deep passion for understanding the nervous system and translating complex trauma-informed science into tools that actually work in everyday life.

This journey has led me into training in psychoneuroimmunology, HeartMath certifications in anxiety and trauma, polyvagal theory, and somatic regulation. Each layer of study confirmed what my heart already knew: that our bodies are designed for flow, and that when survival softens, the soul finds its song again.
I carry a love for science and for ancient scripture, for the way the nervous system and soul mirror one another, for the beauty that emerges when survival softens into creation.
My heart is for people to know:

As an occupational therapist specialising in nervous system regulation, psychoneuroimmunology, and heart–brain coherence, I’ve spent years helping clients understand how their bodies and brains respond to stress.
When we live in survival mode — fight, flight, or freeze — our bodies prioritise short-term protection over long-term health.
